Shielded Phlebotomy Service shortlisted for HSJ (Health Service Journal) Value Award

Back in December, we reported that following narrowly missing shortlisting for the 2020 HSJ Awards, the Shielded (Clinically Extremely Vulnerable) Service in Coventry and Warwickshire, including the CWPS Shielded Phlebotomy service was subsequently submitted for the HSJ Value Award.

Recognising the transformative potential of biobanks for understanding disease pathophysiology, the Biochemistry and Immunology department within pathology initiated in March 2020 storage of clinical samples from COVID patients.
